Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for using Cashmere's platform, data, and related services (the "Services"), provided by Pludo Inc. (dba Cashmere). It applies to every customer and every authorized user, and is incorporated by reference into each customer's agreement with Cashmere and into our website Terms of Use. It exists to protect our customers, the Services, and the individuals whose data the Services describe.
Permitted use
Data and insights delivered through the Services must be used solely for legitimate business purposes, consistent with applicable law, your agreement with Cashmere, and any permissible-use commitments in that agreement.
Prohibited uses of Cashmere data
You may not use data obtained through the Services to:
- Make eligibility decisions. Cashmere is not a consumer reporting agency and the Services do not provide consumer reports. You may not use Cashmere data, in whole or in part, to determine any individual's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or government benefits, or for any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Discriminate unlawfully. You may not use Cashmere data for unlawful discrimination or for any purpose prohibited under consumer-protection, fair-lending, or privacy laws.
- Contact people unlawfully. Outreach conducted using the Services must comply with applicable communications and marketing laws — including CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, and state telemarketing rules — and with your own privacy commitments and consent obligations.
- Re-identify or misappropriate. You may not attempt to re-identify de-identified or aggregated data, and you may not scrape, bulk-extract, resell, or redistribute Cashmere data except as your agreement expressly permits.
- Harm individuals. You may not use the Services to stalk, harass, intimidate, or facilitate harm to any person.
Prohibited conduct with the Services
You may not:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right in connection with the Services;
- misrepresent your identity or authority, or share credentials with anyone who is not an authorized user;
- compromise the security or integrity of the Services, probe or test their vulnerabilities without written authorization, or interfere with other users;
- upload malicious code, or submit data you do not have the legal right to provide (including the sensitive information we direct customers not to submit, such as health information, Social Security numbers, and driver's license numbers); or
- place excessive load on the Services through unauthorized automated access or attempts to circumvent usage limits.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Where we find a violation, we may suspend or terminate access to the Services in accordance with the applicable customer agreement, and where the violation involves unlawful activity we may notify law enforcement. We may update this AUP from time to time by posting the revised version here.
